Islamic Women’s Welfare Council
Contracted to undertake research into violence against Muslim women. Research objectives included document community impact of racial and religious attacks and vilification. Resulted in launch of report “Race, Faith and Gender: Converging Discriminations Against Muslim Women in Victoria”(2008)
ICV and VMC
The post disaster planning strategy project aimed to enhance the safety of Muslims and community and/or business assets should a terrorist attack occur in Australia. It was conducted in three stages, and involved community forums aimed at achieving a number of objectives including introducing post disaster planning concepts to the Muslim community; identifying issues and establishing a steering committee.
